Product quality (KPV 10 mg + bacteriostatic water)

Our product containing the KPV peptide has been tested by a certified Polish laboratory. The results can be seen in the product gallery. The product is endotoxin-free.

What does the product package (KPV 10 mg + bacteriostatic water) contain?

The ordered product will come packaged in a sturdy tube resistant to transport damage, and inside you will find:

  • Sterile powder vial of KPV acetate 10mg + (peptide stabiliser - mannitol)
  • Sterile vial with 3 ml bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)

The product has an expiry date of a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years from the date of dispatch - depending on the batch.

The safety data sheet (SDS) for this product can be downloaded here

How to prepare a solution for laboratory testing?

  1. Remove the caps from both vials.
  2. Apply spirit to a cotton swab and disinfect the elastics in both vials.
  3. Using an insulin syringe, pour 3ml of bacteriostatic water into the powder vial (along the wall of the vessel)
  4. Roll the vial in your hands or spin the vial making a vortex until the solution dissolves. This activity can be done vigorously, it is important not to foam the solution with strong shaking.
  5. The solution prepared in this way gives us a concentration of 500 mcg of KPV peptide for every 0.15 ml of solution, which from now on should be stored in the refrigerator

Storage and transportation

In dry form, the peptide should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Even longer transport by courier will not affect the stability and quality of the product.

In wet form (after the solution has been prepared), the peptide should be refrigerated at all times and used within 30 days.

Research use of the product (KPV 10 mg + bacteriostatic water)

The product is intended for research use only under conditions in vitro, where it is used as a specialised reagent in molecular and cellular analyses aimed at studying peptide signalling and cellular responses to environmental stimuli. In laboratory models it is used to:

  • analyses of the interaction of short tripeptides with selected cellular markers and elements regulating cell behaviour in the culture environment,

  • to assess the effects on the expression of cellular mediators and regulators of biological responses in cell cultures with different functional profiles,

  • investigating changes in protein levels and the activity of potential signalling pathways involved in the cellular response to environmental stress and chemical stimuli,

  • support validation, comparison and optimisation procedures in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology research, in particular in the development of short bioactive peptides.

Disclaimer

The product is not a medicine, food product or dietary supplement. The product is classified as a chemical reagent/reference material authorised in the European Union under the European REACH Act, and can only be used for scientific laboratory research.
