Product quality (Mots-c 10 mg + bacteriostatic water)
Our Mots-c peptide product has been tested by a certified Polish laboratory. You can see the results in the product gallery. The product is free of endotoxins.
What does the product package (Mots-c 10 mg + bacteriostatic water) contain?
The ordered product will come packaged in a sturdy tube resistant to transport damage, and inside it you will find:
- Sterile powder vial of Mots-c acetate 10mg + (peptide stabilizer - mannitol)
- Sterile vial of 3 ml bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)
The product has an expiration date of a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years from the date of shipment - depending on the batch.
The safety data sheet (SDS) for this product can be downloaded here
How to prepare the solution for the laboratory test?
- Remove the caps from both vials.
- Apply spirit to a cotton swab and disinfect the rubber bands in both vials.
- Using an insulin syringe, pour 3ml of bacteriostatic water into the powder vial (along the wall of the vessel)
- Roll the vial in your hands or spin the vial making a vortex until the solution dissolves. This activity can be done vigorously, it is important not to foam the solution with strong shaking.
- This prepared solution gives us a concentration of 500 mcg of Mots-c peptide for every 0.15 ml of solution, which should be stored in the refrigerator from now on
Storage and transportation
In dry form, the peptide should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Even longer transportation by courier will not affect the stability and quality of the product.
In wet form (after preparing the solution), the peptide should be in the refrigerator all the time and used up within 30 days.
Research use of the product (MOTS-c 10 mg + bacteriostatic water)
The product is intended for research use only under conditions in vitro, where it is used as a specialized reagent in molecular and cellular analyses targeting mechanisms of metabolic regulation and mitochondrial signaling. In laboratory models, it is used for:
-
Studies of the interactions of mitochondrial signal peptides with selected metabolic markers and elements of cellular response pathways to energy stress,
-
To evaluate the effects on the expression of genes and proteins related to glucose metabolism, energy homeostasis and cellular adaptation in cell cultures with different metabolic profiles,
-
analysis of changes in the activity of selected signaling pathways, including mechanisms dependent on energy sensory kinases, the response to oxidative stress, and mitonuclear signaling,
-
to support validation, comparison and optimization procedures in research in mitochondrial biology, cell biology, biochemistry and experimental pharmacology.
Disclaimer
The product is not a drug, food product or dietary supplement. The product is classified as a chemical reagent/reference material authorized in the European Union under the European REACH Act, and can only be used for laboratory scientific research.
