What does the product package contain (SS-31 50 mg + bacteriostatic water)?

The ordered product will come packaged in a sturdy tube resistant to transport damage, and inside it you will find:

• Sterile vial with SS-31 50mg powder + (peptide stabilizer – mannitol)
• Sterile vial of 3 ml bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)

The product has an expiration date of a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years from the date of shipment - depending on the batch.

How to prepare the solution for the laboratory test?

1. Remove the caps from both vials.
2. Apply spirit to a cotton swab and disinfect the rubber bands in both vials.
3. Using an insulin syringe, pour 3ml of bacteriostatic water into the powder vial (along the wall of the vessel)
4. Roll the vial in your hands or spin the vial making a vortex until the solution dissolves. This activity can be done vigorously, it is important not to foam the solution with strong shaking.
5. A solution prepared in this way gives us a concentration of 5 mg of SS-31 per 0.3 ml of the solution, which from now on should be stored in the refrigerator

Storage and transportation

In dry form, the peptide should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Even longer transportation by courier will not affect the stability and quality of the product.

In wet form (after preparing the solution), the peptide should be in the refrigerator all the time and used up within 30 days.

Research application of the product (SS-31 50 mg + bacteriostatic water)

The product is intended exclusively for research use under in vitro conditions, where it is used as a specialized reagent in molecular and cellular analyses focused on the mechanisms of mitochondrial homeostasis and redox processes. In laboratory models, it is used for:

• studies on the interactions of short peptides with selected mitochondrial structures and membrane lipids, including cardiolipin,
• assessments of the impact on the expression of regulatory factors associated with mitochondrial function in cell cultures with differentiated phenotype,
