What is Ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide with the sequence Aib–His–D-2-Nal–D-Phe–Lys–NH₂. It represents a selective growth hormone secretagogue analogue containing atypical amino acid residues (Aib and D-amino acids) that increase metabolic stability. This compound was developed as part of research on GHS-R1a receptor ligands (the ghrelin receptor). Due to its precisely defined structure and good solubility in aqueous environments, Ipamorelin has become a useful model for studying GHS receptor-dependent peptide signaling.

In experimental studies, Ipamorelin has been used to analyze mechanisms related to the activation of the GHS-R1a receptor, the modulation of G protein-dependent signaling pathways, and cellular responses in in vitro and in vivo models. Its effect on the expression of selected genes regulated by ghrelin pathways and on signaling processes in experimental systems has been described. Attention has been drawn to its selective interactions with G protein-coupled receptors and its indirect effect on signaling homeostasis under preclinical conditions.

Due to its unambiguously defined chemical structure and high reproducibility of observed biological effects in experimental models, Ipamorelin is used as a research tool in molecular biology, experimental endocrinology, and experimental pharmacology. What does the product packaging contain (Ipamorelin 40 mg)?

The ordered product will come packaged in a sturdy tube resistant to transport damage, and inside it you will find:

  • Vial with powder (Mannitol + Ipamorelin 40 mg + 5 mg GHK-Cu)
  • Vial of saline (3%DMSO) 10 ml
  • Atomizer (for spraying a portion of the solution onto a laboratory slide)
  • Funnel (helps pour solvent into the peptide vial)

How to prepare the solution for the laboratory test?

  • unscrew the stoppers from both vials
  • Transfer the liquid from the liquid vial to the powder vial
  • cap the vial with the powder with the original stopper
  • Mix carefully (no sudden movements)
  • unscrew the cap, remove the ring from the seal (important to keep it tight) and screw on the atomizer

We obtained 10 ml of solution, which is enough for about 70 atomizer presses of 0.57 mg of Ipamorelin.

Storage and transportation

In dry form, the peptide can be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight

In wet form (after the solution is prepared), the peptide should be refrigerated for up to 40 days at all times.

  • observation of droplets, sediments, and crystal structures using optical and polarizing microscopy;
  • analyses of the size and distribution of droplets produced by the atomizer, including by depositing them on a microscope slide;
  • evaluation of the size and distribution of aggregates present in the solution by dynamic light scattering (DLS);
  • conducting spectrophotometric analyses using the UV-Vis method, within a range appropriate for the properties of the tested peptide and the analytical method used.
